DIY (and Super Easy) Map Flag Banner

I've got another DIY project for y'all!

I made this one recently for my main girl, Jamie (check her out!). Let me brag about her for a minute... This girl is moving to Haiti next month for two years! She's had a heart for Haiti basically as long as I've known her, and while she's there she will be working at a school, helping with a church and loving on lots of Haitians, I'm sure. They're lucky to have her.

I thought a map something-or-other would be a good birthday gift for her! Plus, she will need some new wall decor for the next couple years.
This banner would be 10x better, in my opinion, if it was a world map. BUT all I could find was one my (splendid) city, Charleston. So it works.

I won't bore you with details. It's super easy and very self explanatory. Looking at the pics should about do it for explaining but I throw some hints in there too. :)

Supplies!!:
The cardboard triangle is one I cut out and recycled from my DIY flag bunting. It just helps keep your triangles consistent sizes.

Also, fabri-tac is amazing! For anything and everything. And no one paid me to say that.

Trace the outline of however many triangles you would like for your banner (being conscious of map color)...

And cut!

At this point as also ironed my triangles because they were a bit crease-y. Wierd, But it worked.

Now just glue the jute or twine onto the front of the flag leaving some extra twine length on the ends for hanging purposes.

And you're done! Easy as break and bake cookies. (Ha. You see what I did there!? Because pie is not easy)
