Refocusing on wisdom

Do you guys ever have those days where you just feel the need to refocus on where you've been and where you're going? I'm feeling that way right now in regards to this blog... I'm wanting to refresh my vision as it relates to where I want to go and what I want this blog to be.

I started Ah, Sophia with the aim of growing in wisdom and hopefully encouraging others to do the same. So what does that even mean? I want to think on that some more. And so, to Wikipedia I go (don't hate. it's a good resource!). Here's a good chunk of what it had to say:
Wisdom "involves an understanding of people, things, events and situations, and the willingness and the ability to apply perceptions, judgments and actions in keeping with an understanding of what is the right course of actions.
In short, that's making 'right' choices based off of good understanding of people, things, events and situations.

Here are some thoughts on what I believe a completely and totally wise person might look like. TI say all this in order to make it an ideal for myself- a thing to be aimed for- not a thing to be compared against and in turn cause despair or insignificance. So if I want to grow to be a wise person, then it's these things I'm aiming for. And it's here on the blog that I want to chronicle the ups and downs, the pursuits and victories.

A wise person:
^ views others to be of great importance and shows this in practical ways
^ has an accurate perspective of the future- looks ahead with expectation for good to come
^ has a high respect for and great understanding of God
^ uses their words for truth, encouragement and blessing
^ is not consumed by wealth or materials- they are content and happy with little
^ is a leader of whom much is expected and who is highly admired
is usually older- has been through a thing or two and has grown from experiences
^ is forever pursuing more wisdom- they know they don't have it all

This is by no means an exhaustive list! I'm sure there's plenty more that could be added. Also, I'm not claiming it as fact, but I'm putting it out there for you to see what it is that I envision when I think of growing in wisdom. And I'm boldly stating that these are the attributes I desire to grow within myself. And thus, the writing of the blog to record my pursuits and encourage others as well!

This list doesn't have to be just for me, but I also want to put it out there so perhaps you can be spurred on to join me as well. I don't know many people who would look at this list and say, "No, I don't want to be that person." In fact, I'd expect it to be quite the opposite.
So, what's your list look like? If you don't have one, make one! What does the kind of person you would like to grow to become look like? No timelines, no pressure, no stress. Just a goal without an end date that we will intentionally take steps toward.
